The Wizard of Oz’s leading lady ditches the pigtails and opts for simple 1950s femininity.

Dress is 100% cotton with zip at centre back. Bodice is tailored and lined in cotton for comfort and durability on hot summer days. Contrasting navy waistband helps create an hourglass figure, and a full circle skirt gives this frock a classic Dior New-Look style.

Based on an original 1950s design, this 100% cotton day dress is both easy fitting and very adjustable. Finished with red cotton bias trim, tie closures at the should means bodice can be raised and lowered to accomodate a range of figures. A subtle elastic gathering along the back waistline eliminates the need for other closures and leaves room for comfort across the shoulders, all while streamlining the figure across the back and sides.
A full circle skirt completes the look and makes the most of the bright print.

Outfit inspiration: the fashions of 16th century Venice meet traditional Indonesian shirt-like garment ‘kebaya’.
Wrap ‘kebaya’ dress in batik paisly-print crepe with black chiffon contrast cuffs, featuring cut-out detail at neckline and front hem. Worn over fitted silk-satin petticoat trimmed with clove-dyed cotton lace. Finished with a black chiffon obi belt, ribbon-tie black spats, and ‘mermaid’s necklace’ seaweed earings with gold beads.

This outfit was inspired by the English/Chinese opium trade from the 15th-19th century.

A decadent deep crimson silk cheongsam features a split to hip and tea-dyed antique gold satin bias trim. Each poppy is individually hand-painted and hand-beaded with recycled glass seed beads.

Matching choker with frog clasp closure, earrings and bracelet set including venetian glass, resin, and metal beads.
